Travel guide
Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) is the main hub for World Cup traffic, with Dallas Love Field (DAL) a close-in alternative for domestic flights. AT&T Stadium sits in Arlington, between Dallas and Fort Worth — 25 minutes from either downtown by car. No rail connects directly, but the DFW area has a free-shuttle system running on match days from downtown Dallas.
Downtown Dallas gives you the Deep Ellum and Uptown nightlife districts; Arlington itself is more suburban but has hotels within walking distance of AT&T. Fort Worth's Sundance Square is worth a side-trip for the Old West aesthetic.
Watch parties gravitate to Deep Ellum bars for the hipster crowd and to Uptown for the downtown-professional crowd. Texas barbecue is obligatory — Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum is the flagship. Local quirk: Texans do not consider Tex-Mex "Mexican food" — they are different things, and getting the distinction right is social currency.
Climate notes
Dallas in June and July is genuinely hot and humid — highs in the mid-90s°F with 60-70% humidity. AT&T Stadium has a retractable roof and air conditioning, so indoor comfort is guaranteed even if outside hits 100°F.
