Travel guide
Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA) is 30 minutes from downtown by Sound Transit Link light rail (direct service). Lumen Field sits in SoDo, walking distance from Pioneer Square and directly adjacent to the Link light rail Stadium station.
Downtown Seattle is the easy choice — Pike Place Market, a 10-minute walk to the stadium, the best waterfront hotels. Capitol Hill is the nightlife-and-food district. Ballard is the craft-beer and brunch neighborhood. For a Seattle-specific experience, the ferry to Bainbridge Island is a 35-minute daytrip with skyline views.
Watch parties saturate Capitol Hill on big-match days. Signature food: Pacific Northwest salmon, Seattle-style teriyaki (a local variant), and Beecher's handmade cheese from Pike Place. Local quirk: Seattleites will apologize for the rain while holding umbrellas they refuse to use (this is a known behavior, not a stereotype).
Climate notes
Seattle's June and July are gorgeous — highs in the mid-70s°F, low humidity, long daylight, and rainfall at its lowest of the year. Lumen Field's partial roof handles the occasional shower.
