Travel guide
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is Canada's busiest hub, 30 minutes from downtown by Union Pearson Express train (C$12.35). BMO Field sits on Exhibition Grounds, reachable by TTC streetcar 509/511 from Union Station in about 12 minutes.
Downtown Toronto has the best logistics: the Entertainment District and King West put you walking distance to BMO via the 509 streetcar. Queen West is the creative neighborhood for independent cafés and vintage shopping; Liberty Village is the closest young-professional area to the stadium.
Watch parties spill out of King West sports bars and onto the patios in Yorkville for a classier crowd. Local signature: poutine (obviously), but also the Korean-Canadian, West Indian, and Portuguese-Canadian food scenes that Toronto wears as a badge of honor. Local quirk: Torontonians call the CN Tower "the tower" — never "CN" — and will correct you if you say "Centreville" instead of "Centre Island" for the ferry daytrip.
Climate notes
Toronto's June and July are surprisingly warm — highs in the mid-80s°F with humid afternoons and nights in the low 60s°F. Thunderstorms can pop up on hot days but the lake keeps things manageable. Evening matches are near-perfect weather.
